A2 Metals and Inductively-Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy
- Ores are rocks that contain metal compounds and from which the metal can be sourced economically. Often these ores contain more than one metal.
- Metal ores also often contain metal oxide, sulphide or carbonate.
- Heating metal sulphides or carbonate converts the metal in to the oxide, which can then be reduced to extract only the metal.
