Importing data to OpenApply

OpenApply can assist to facilitate the importation of various data types, including inquiries, applicant details, student records, and alumni information. Certain fields are mandatory and essential for the successful importation process into OpenApply.

It usually takes our team around 1-2 weeks to import data, depending on the quality and quantity of the data.

We recommend ensuring that you are satisfied with the forms and fields in OpenApply before beginning the data import process, as this will help ensure a smoother and more accurate import.

As listed there, the following fields are required when importing data into OpenApply:

In addition to these mandatory fields, you can also import additional fields that you wish, such as Gender, Birth Date, Nationality, Day/Boarding, etc.

Please refer to the attached example template below, showing how the data should look. (If you are importing 2 parents, then you would need to specify if the parent data is for parent 1 or parent 2, the parent fields should spread to the right of the excel file).

So you could populate a spreadsheet such as this with your data from your current system, send it back to us, and then we could pass this to our data team for import. As well as thinking about which fields you want to import, you can also consider which existing data you want to import, e.g. if you are just importing current applicants, or if you are also importing applicants from previous years.
