Once your Atlas site is ready, we are ready to introduce your team to the new system. In this phase, two types of training are considered: Technical Training (included with your implementation) covers accessing courses, using Atlas tools for curriculum writing, and managing your system. These virtual trainings last approximately 1 hour. Professional Development focuses on the purpose of curriculum documentation, creating high-quality units, or managing a curriculum process. It is essential for the long-term success of your initiative.

Action Items:

  1. Schedule the following Technical Trainings with your Implementation Specialist, or let us help you leverage online courses to facilitate your own staff trainings.

System Administration Training

This training for site managers focuses on managing user accounts and course assignments, unit templates, site customizations, and your calendar and annual archive dates.

Typically 1-5 curriculum leaders will participate in this training, which covers topics in our and more!

Navigating Atlas Training

In this training for teachers and curriculum developers, we'll learn how to login and locate courses, add units to the calendar, enter details in the unit planner, view quick reports for curriculum review, and find help on any page.

Resources:

  • (writers of the unit curriculum)

  • (viewers of units, writers of lessons if enabled)

Optional: Atlas Reports Overview

One of the most powerful features of Atlas is its robust reporting, which allows both teachers and administrators to analyze your school's curriculum in meaningful ways and answer specific questions. The insights gained from these reports can inform your current curriculum process and provide a foundation for collaborative, focused discussions with colleagues.

Once sufficient curriculum has been developed in Atlas, schedule an Atlas Reports training or overview with your Implementation Specialist. Be sure to invite members of your curriculum teams who could benefit from this session.

Resources:

  1. Consider your Curriculum Professional Development plan. If your school does not have this resource, our Atlas PD Team can help up-skill your curriculum and leadership teams, enabling them to engage effectively in your curriculum process. Led by expert educators, our team will design flexible learning opportunities tailored to support the unique needs of your school or district. Ask your Implementation Specialist about the offerings below:
