Students and supervisors must use the academic honesty form to declare the integrity of work.

It is the students' responsibility to appropriately source all information used in investigating the project and include a bibliography. The bibliography and academic honesty form should be available at the time of the presentation.

Schools typically choose at this age level to use MLA or APA style of citations.

Teach students the appropriate resources and techniques to appropriately cite their sources. Establishing good practice now will set them up for success.

Students should use a range of sources to investigate the community, define the need, and create the action plan.

Oftentimes students will be so excited about making a change, that they think they do not need much research, and end up with a misguided plan. Some students may even need to start over when they realize that the community might not allow their original plan.

Encourage students to investigate what has already been done to address the need, what has worked, and what has not worked. They should communicate with the community as part of their research prior to creating their plan.
