How is the CP core and PPS assessed?

PPS assessment tasks are internally developed by the school and also internally assessed. Successful completion is then submitted to the IB. The reflective project is different as it is internally assessed by the school, but externally moderated by the IB.

Is PPS graded?

Schools are able to make their own decisions about how they give you feedback on any assessment tasks and schools can decide to grade some pieces of work. However, of the components of the CP core, only the reflective project is given a final grade between A – E.

How does PPS prepare me for the future?

PPS is a course that gives you a wide range of practical experiences and is focused on transferable skills that prepare you for flexibility and mobility in a range of employment and educational opportunities both today and the future.
