Purpose

The PPS course is unique and will develop a student's ability to:

  • apply knowledge to real-world scenarios and situations

  • think creatively and critically

  • develop strong presentation skills

  • communicate effectively and clearly

  • consider other points of view and new perspectives

  • be globally aware and internationally minded

Nearly every top-ten list of future work skills identified by employers includes these all-important transversal skills.

In the words of the United Nation's Children's Fund (UNICEF)...

'Children and adolescents today live in a world of challenges and opportunities, including new technologies, changing labour markets, migration, conflict, and environmental and political changes. To succeed within this current and future environment, all children and adolescents need access to quality education and learning that develops skills, knowledge, attitudes and values and enables them to become successful life-long learners who can learn, un-learn, and relearn; find and retain productive work; make wise decisions; and positively engage in their communities.'

Essentially, PPS will develop the vital skills that employers, colleges, and universities are all looking for now and in the future.
