π¨βπ©βπ¦Introducing Parents
To ensure a smooth introduction of SchoolsBuddy to parents before launch, you can consider the following tips on opening SchoolsBuddy to your parent community:
β Communicate and Inform Parents in Advance: Clearly communicate the purpose and benefits of adopting SchoolsBuddy. If multiple modules will be introduced, provide a timeline for each to set clear expectations.
β Notifications for Activation Emails: If Single Sign-On (SSO) is not utilized, notify parents in advance that they will receive an activation or welcome email to set up their login credentials.
β Populate the Platform Before Launch: To prevent confusion from an empty interface, ensure that the platform is populated with relevant information before granting parent access. Tailor this approach to your school's preferences.
β Set a Welcome Message: Create a welcome message displayed on the parent dashboard upon login. This message can explain the platform's purpose, highlight important dates, and include links to relevant guides. Staff members with Organisation Super Admin access can add and modify this message.
β Annual Onboarding Sessions: Each year, conduct in-person information sessions or provide personalized online videos to introduce new parents to SchoolsBuddy. Include school-specific details and deadlines to ensure they are well-informed.
β Review and Customize Email Templates: Review automated emails templates sent from SchoolsBuddy to ensure they align with your school's communication style. Access these templates via the 'Email Templates HTML Viewer' report under the Reception | Reports tab. For assistance with modifications, contact SchoolsBuddy support with at least 24 hours' notice.
