About the Author

Gary Goodwin is an educator from Nova Scotia, Canada who has taught in the PYP, MYP, and DP in China, Japan, Oman, and Canada. He has illustrated several IB textbooks and created videos to help students with content and concepts. Additionally, Gary has presented at IB Conferences in Hyderabad, India and Yokohama, Japan as well as been featured in IB World Magazine.

As an MYP and DP teacher, Gary focuses on global problems with a particular interest in the history and politics of China, Japan, and India. He is also heavily involved in Model United Nations having facilitated groups that have participated in conferences in Qatar, Dubai, Beijing, Muscat, and Boston.

Outside of school, Gary enjoys illustrating, reading, and spending time with his wife Geetika and their twins Noah and Zoya.
