# January

### Administration

{% hint style="warning" %}
(Early January) Final deadlines for registering for exams, changing student numbers, etc. in IBIS.
{% endhint %}

Collate CP2 mock examination results (if applicable).

Remind everyone (CP2 students, teachers, parents) of due dates for internal assessment and key deadlines including:

* Required formal SL meetings and submissions.
* Required formal RP meetings, draft and final submission deadlines.
* DP IA's typically have a March 15 upload deadline.

Email teachers to check on IA progress and see if they need support.

Facilitate IB faculty meeting and collaboration.

Remit payment for exams to the IB when the invoice arrives.

### Assessment

When available (usually mid-January), begin uploading content to IBIS for externally assessed elements and internal assessments (IAs).

{% hint style="warning" %}
It’s best to begin as soon as possible.
{% endhint %}

Some schools have students upload their own work into IBIS, and some may have subject teachers do the uploading. In other schools it is the responsibility of the coordinator and in some schools the exams officer.

![](/files/RkTcQGvuYCoPoF0pXMSm)

The following assumes that the CP coordinator will do the uploading:

* Have students complete a statement of authenticity to accompany each of their uploads.
* To upload externally assessed elements (IAs ), go to Subject → eCoursework
 * Find the place for each required item to be uploaded. A checkmark means it’s been successfully uploaded.
 * Open the preview to make sure student work was uploaded correctly.
 * Uploaded documents should be anonymous, however the file name can have the student’s name on it.

{% hint style="success" %}
Naming the file with the student’s name makes uploads easier.
{% endhint %}

* To upload internal assessments: Go to Subject → IAPG
 * Go to ‘Mark Entry’ → ‘IA Mark Entry’ and click on ‘enter marks’.
 * Put in the total marks for the IA (every subject has a different number of points available according to their rubric).
 * Confirm the IA marks by typing them a second time.
 * Look for the window that will pop up. It will tell you which students have been automatically selected for moderation.
 * For students selected for moderation, a new section will appear in eCoursework that enables you to upload the student work as well as marks and teacher comments.

{% hint style="warning" %}
It can take up to 24 hours for the eCoursework to be updated with an upload place for IA moderation. So, it is highly recommended not to wait until the last day!
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
For DP subjects, upload of the reflective project and registering successful completion of the other core components (PPS, SL and Language development) will be done later.
{% endhint %}

### Staff and Students

Remind faculty about predicted grades and internal assessment deadlines.

### Marketing

Update social media accounts with student/faculty spotlights.

Continue to communicate programme or IB student successes within and outside of the school.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.fariaedu.com/cp-coordinator-handbook/january.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
