About the author

As an active member of the IB (International Baccalaureate) Educator Network since 2013, Erica Chiotti is passionate about supporting teachers, coordinators and school leaders with the implementation of the PYP (Primary Years Programme). In addition to serving as a workshop facilitator and site visit team member, she has also reviewed IB curriculum documents through work with Building Quality Curriculum. She has worked with and facilitated international workshops focused on curriculum development and has written several exemplar unit of inquiry planners for ManageBac.

With over 20 years of classroom teaching experience, educational coaching and mentoring, Erica is currently working with schools and teachers across the globe to implement best practices for PYP learning and teaching. As a MiniPD coach, she connects with teachers and leaders to provide individualized, on-going support that is grounded in the IB approaches to teaching. Outside of PYP work, Erica enjoys running, reading and all things sports. She loves spending time exploring and adventuring with her family in the Pacific Northwest.
