πTransport
What will we cover?
In our meetings, we will review how your school's transport operates to recommend the most suitable setups.
Events Clashing Feature SchoolsBuddy Transport module can detect scheduling conflicts and dynamically reassign students to different transport options. Each student should have a primary and a secondary transport option. If a student needs to attend an event (e.g., after-school activities) during the time allocated for their primary transport, the system will remove the student from the primary transport and assign them to the secondary transport.

Overview
Live Route Data This screen provides an overview of all the routes running per day with counters for the number of buses in each status. See our Viewing Live Route Data help guide for more information.
Config Settings Initial setups are performed in this section, where we build your school's transport schedule(s).
Mass Student Assignment Student assignments are managed in this section, where we allocate students to their respective transports.
Reports We provide several transport-related reports designed to facilitate accurate assignments and serve as references for historical updates.
Change Requests Transport change requests are handled in this section, where administrators can manage and approve modifications.
Initial Setup
Your implementation manager will guide you through the necessary configurations in the Config Settings section. The configuration process generally includes the following 9 steps:
Set Up Transport Methods: Define the types of transport your school uses (e.g., bus, parent pick-up).
Determine Transport Operating Days: Specify the days on which transport services operate.
Name Your Transport Directions: Customize the names for inbound and outbound directions if needed.
Create Transport Time Slots: Establish time slots representing different times of the day and directions of travel (e.g., AM, PM, Late).
Add Transport Stops: Define the specific stops for each transport route.
Arrange Transport Routes: Organize the sequence of stops to form complete routes.
Determine Transport Timetables: Set the dates and times during which each transport schedule will run.
Configure Transport Timetables: Link transport methods and routes to specific time slots in the timetable calendar.
Select and Apply Relevant Features: Enable additional features as needed (e.g., permission to walk).
Student Assignments
You can assign students to transports in the Mass Student Assignment section. A 'Copy Student List' feature is available to facilitate assigning similar student lists. β Assigning students their Transport Methods
Transport Change Requests
You can manage dynamic transport change requests from parents directly in the Change Requests section. Transport change requests can be approved, put on hold, or rejected based on operational needs. Additionally, transport administrators can assist by raising requests on behalf of parents if needed. β Creating and Approving Change Requests for Admin Users
