Ensuring that teachers are happy and healthy members of their school community is a top priority for schools. Benefits of creating a viable program targeting teacher wellness include minimising teacher turnover rates, decreasing absenteeism and increasing productivity and creativity.

One of the biggest factors contributing to teacher wellness is stress. Some research states that between 30% - 50% of new teachers leave teaching within their first 5 years. If we are going to change this alarming trend it is imperative that schools take the necessary steps to help teachers find a balanced approach to their emotional wellness.
