Reflection and planning

Just as the has determined the foundational aspects of the unit of inquiry, the Reflecting and Planning portion of the process encourages educators to engage in thoughtful discussions around intentionality and purpose. Like with the section, this may not be linear, or look the same for each unit.

This phase of planning asks teachers to take a step back and look at the unit from a broader perspective and consider how the learning fits into the bigger picture within the context of the students’ experience and the Programme of inquiry.

It is natural for implementation ideas to emerge throughout planning conversations. Consider capturing these moments of inspiration by noting or documenting them in the section of the planner for further development.
