There are numerous different programmes for introducing SEL to your school, each with its own approach, intended audience and evaluation outcomes. If your international school has made the decision to move forward with implementing SEL into your community, the first thing to do is choose the right SEL programme for your school.

The CASEL will help you do this using the following simple step-by-step process:

  1. – during this step, you will understand what your school community wants SEL to look like and how it will align with your school’s vision.

  2. – CASEL’s guide assesses SEL programmes using a number of different metrics, so this step is about making the connection between the goals you have identified and how these are evaluated in the Programme Guide.

  3. – in this step, you will be able to view a complete list of programmes included in the guide, and use a handy to compare a shortlist of up to three programmes by your chosen criteria.

Following this process, you should end up with a SEL programme that aligns with your school’s vision and goals.
